myLot Han Solo Costumes Discussions| Han Solo, Scoundrel | | I'm currently researching and beginning to write a character analysis of Han Solo in the original 1977 film (Episode IV A New Hope). Aside from his obvious characteristics of acerbic humor, apparent greed, and skepticism, all in a totally lovable smuggler shell of course, I believe that he is necessary to the story of A New Hope because he provides a character balance to Luke and Leia. Leia is the brainy one, with her diplomatic/political training and experience, and her delightful little verbal jabs, whereas Luke is the new kid to the game full of wide-eyed wonder, questions, confusion, and that immature little whine in his voice. Han has experience, but is still not as idealistic or high-minded as Leia. This, of course, is only a very brief overview but I would value any insights you could offer. Also, if you know of any viable research sources I can use, please let me know about them. | |

| | When Han Solo shots at Vader. | | Me and my friend had an arguement on this. When Han Solo walks into the chamber and Vader stands up, Vader blocks Hans' blast with his hands. My friend thinks he is using some mechanical devise in his wrist to make like a small energy field. I say he is simply using the force to make a small energy field. | | Do you prefer the Star Wars Prequel trilogy or the Original Trilogy? | | I was having this discussion with a friend of mine, and he said that he thought that the origional trilogy was better than the prequel trilogy. While I prefer the prequel trilogy, as the graphics are better, the lightsaber battles are immense. You wouldn't have the original trilogy in terms of storyline without the prequel trilogy. I've seen all of them Episode I:Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and ive watched all of them atleast two or three times each, and im gonna keep watching them because I cant get enough of Star Wars. They are like my favorite movies of all time. The first time i saw Episode IV: A New Hope, my uncle, who used to always talk about Star Wars all the time, and actually talked me into watching it, let me borrow it, and im very thankful that he talked me into watching it.I now own all six movies including the Special box set trilogy of the last three movies, all of them I own are VHS except for Episode III and I hope... | |
